“This is a recounting of a conversation I had a few years ago. It’s disappointing to me how intertwined ideas of womanhood and motherhood are in society, especially when those ideas are held by men about what a woman is and should be. I would like to see shifts and reclaiming of the identity of women by women and that is what I am doing in sharing my story.”
